Where To Eat

There are lots of great places to eat around the area. We asked them to give us a description of what they have to offer:

Goleen Takeaway

Goleen Takeaway is run by husband and wife team Stephen and Fiona with the help of their hard working staff. We are serious about the quality of our food, using only the freshest foods we can source. Our fish is locally sourced from Castletown Bere and Union Hall. We only use wet fish never frozen! Dipped into our own recipe batter then cooked to crispy perfection to order. Our burgers are made in-house using 100% Irish beef, Chips are, whenever possible, produced from Maris Piper potatoes, the best potato for chipping in our opinion! Other varieties are used when Piper is unavailable but we will ensure we have the best spud for the time of year. We also have some home-made special dishes you wouldn’t normally expect to find in a chipper like our Takeaway Sunday Roast! Everything is cooked to order. We serve 6 days a week during the summer months and at weekends throughout the winter. We do get very busy at times, but it’ll be worth the wait!

The Fasnet Bar

The Fastnet welcoming bar restaurant in the heart of Goleen village, on the route of the wild Atlantic way. Bar food served 7 days during the summer months and available at weekends throughout the winter.  Kids menu available.  Secluded beer garden and smoking area to the rear. Open log fire in the winter time.  Live music regularly at weekends.  Free wifi. Great venue for any kind of party or occasion. Our menu includes a selection of freshly cooked foods, including Fish & Chips Scampi, chicken Goujons. Selection of toasties, Paninies and wraps. Seasonal salads including fresh crab, salmon and prawns. Teas, coffee and deserts, wines beers and soft drinks
